Between 4 and 5 of May 2017 The International Scientific Colloquium “Social Psychology in 21st Century: Challenges, Trends, Perspectives”, took place in Chisinau, organized by the Faculty of Psychology, Education Sciences and Social Assistance of ULIM, Aula Magnifica, 3 bl., 4floor.
The event was attended by researchers From Ukraine, Russia, Romania and Republic of Moldova. “Deployment of this 3rd edition of the colloquium in ULIM framework, has become a tradition, which will be continue many years ahead”, how organizers say.
It is interesting that the scientific field in the neighboring country of Romania, speaking the same language, is concerned about finding ways to correlate the different branches within social psychology.
The International colloquium was focused on approaches to phenomena related to the social psychology that is trying answer for the next questions:
– What this knowledge field means today and
– To what extent is it appropriate to the imperatives of time?
– Is not the time to put the accents on interpreting phenomena?
Here was the approach of Psych. Constantin Serban, the president of our Green association wich is Initiator and promoter of Green Psychology in Romania, in presenting the title / theme:
“Green psychology: sustainable development factor in the Climate Change context”
Mr. Serban has personal concerns for many years in Social psychology from an Ecologically point of view trying to use the Psy domain in the context of Climate Changes, identifying difficulties of people/social based on interacting with the environment in particular the natural one.
In his presentation, he showed the international context (global and local / regional) the significance of 2017 and the International Year of Sustainable Development Tourism, where did he go and what happened with sustainable development in the last decades.

Trying to make a contribution to the questions have arisen regarding the challenges, trends, perspectives of the 21st century of Social psychology : Mr. Serban proposed the outflow of researchers from laboratory in middle of the nature or to displace the laboratory in nature, considering the time has come to psychologically approach the accents on the interpretation of the Climate change phenomena and adaptation to climate change.
He claims on every occasion that the biggest environmental problem is not an environmental one, but an … individual one.
“The problem of the environment is the effect of the individual’s behavior on / over the environment. In fact, the concrete problem is the individual with himself, and the environment is the one that endures them.”
We have the aim to improve untill change the conservatory way of producing and consuming tourism services especialy in sensitive areas more then protected areas, including sensitive urban areas and tourism adaptation to climate changes and reducing tourism emisions.
